I love to read, write and listen to music. I adore my friends and family. I like to do yoga, walk and am trying out kayaking. I love to volunteer, and try to do alot of work with children who are dealing with serious illnesses. I am going into graduate school for special education and want to eventually work at school support programs with hospitals. I love meeting new people and just sharing experiences.

Almost anything my Tim Burton...mostly comedy, some romance and Disney movies. I don't really like horror, I scare to easily. Some of my favorites are Boondock Saints, Nightmare Before Christmas, The Dark Night, The Shawshank Redemption, Pulp Fiction, The Princess Bride, The 10th Kingdom, Empire Records, Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy and Lilo & Stitch. There are many others and the list is always growing.

I love alot of rock/alternative music..some pop but I can't stand techno, country or rap. I am attracted to music I feel I can relate to. I really love going to concerts and shows. Some of my favorite bands are Yellowcard, MONTY Are I, Story of the Year, Hawthorne Heights, Paramore, Green Day, Lostprophets, Thrice, Jack's Mannequin, Something Corporate, Foo Fighters, and U2.

I am a reading addict. I love fantasy, I usually find series or authors I stick to. Any Charles DeLint work, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Twilight and Outlander series, Stardust, The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, PS I Love You, Memoirs of a Geisha, On Writing, Greggory McGuire work (Wicked, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister), The Lovely Bones, My Sisters Keeper, The Once and Future King. I have many others, and am always looking for more to read. I can spend hours lost in a bookstore, or likewise sitting and reading a book. It's an escape for me.

I am twenty two, living near Boston. I love my friends and family, and rely on them frequently. I am a childhood cancer survivor of ALL and also have many friends and family members that are survivors or have died from cancer. I am always interested in meeting others who have been affected by cancer, to just share experiences and stories. I am also very active in cancer awareness. I am at a point where I do not want to let my experiences overcome and limit me, but embrace them so I can be empowered to do better.
