Love spending time with friends and family. Enjoy the warm weather, sunny days, anything outdoorsy! Like music and dancing, going to the clubs when I get a chance!! Enjoy going to the gym, the beach, the mall! And since my Grandmother's passing love helping raise money and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer!
MOVIES
Titanic, 10 Things I Hate About You, Knocked Up, Forrest Gump, Breakfast Club, Terminator 2.
Anything with Nicholas Cage and Adam Sandler..Pulp Fiction, Cinderella Man.. geez, I can keep going!!
MUSIC
Instead of naming bands, artists, groups what not.. I will pretty much say I like almost all music, classic rock, new rock, metal (except death metal) hip hop and r&b, some country..don't listen to classical. Can go from Pink Floyd to Pink from Beastie Boys to Swiss Beatz.
BOOKS
Don't read too often. I am one of those people who have to have total quiet to read an article or else I have no idea what I read.. think it's ADD!
31 year old chicka, married, 2 chillins' a boy and girl. Carina and Anthony, they are 11 and 5. I have a black lab puppy named Ace, who enjoys driving me crazy! I am an office manager for a periodontist office, which is soo boring, but pays well. I like talking, if you haven't figured that out yet and wish to help find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer, because it took my Grandmother from me in 2006. I miss her dearly!!
I would call different places, some places will donate that you don't think would. Vermont Teddy Bear donated to me for a silent auction for PanCAN, it was a cute bear with a big purple ribbon on it. Also advertise in local papers if you haven't done so yet. We get a lot of our $$$ from the church as well. Good luck with your BBQ!!

Oh boy does cancer suck! :).....
I am doing a walk(well, now I am going to have to watch the walk the drs. told me not to walk it) for awearness for blood cancers. I have been kinda a closet cancer patient. I never really tell anyone that I have cancer but I have to change that...to help with the fight against it....
Its so cool that you are doing all this too for your grandma and friend!
Just wondering if you had the whipple surgery and if so, how it went.... hope all is well! Jennifer
I did!! it was Jan. 4th. I did really well actually. i was in the hospital for 7 days, and then they let me out to the hotel over the weekend and we started our treck home that monday. the flight home was REALLY tough! but thankfully i had alot of pain pills!! They were able to get alot of stuff out. they took about a third of my pancreas, and the duodenum, part of the stomach and gall bladder, the usual whipple stuff. and they took a ton of lymph nodes. it had metastisised to the lymph nodes and the Duodenum but no liver or anywhere else. I am going to reimmage in June and we will see what happens at that point! thanks for checking on me! i iwll try and be better at checking in!
Thanks, been in remission for 6 months now, woohoo! Still have fortnightly hospital visits though. And yeah I have learnt quite a bit after spending 2 years in hospital!
